He Took the Fifth. Then They Voted Contempt.

Anthony Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on 29 July 2026. Eight days later the committee voted to hold him in contempt of Congress.
Attention F4F friends, supporters, and members. Two dates to keep straight.
29 July 2026. Appearing under subpoena before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Dr. Anthony Fauci declined to answer questions: "under the advice of my attorneys, I will invoke my right under the Fifth Amendment." The committee’s own release package later put the count at 111 invocations. Chairman Rand Paul had released more than 1,000 pages of Fauci’s pandemic-era journal entries days before, spanning December 2019 through December 2022.
06 August 2026. The committee voted along party lines to hold him in contempt of Congress. Paul: "The chair directed Anthony Fauci to answer. He refused. That is what we are voting on today. Not his opinions. Not his policies. Not anything he said from the podium six years ago ..."
The resolution directs the Vice President to certify the referral to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. DOJ decides whether to prosecute. Fauci’s attorney called the vote "a crude political stunt."
Set aside who you think is right about origins. A pardon that survives a subpoena, and a subpoena that survives a pardon, is now a live question in front of a U.S. Attorney.
Six years. Still no accounting.
